About Me

Ladydean: I am an artist who is fascinated by form, line, color, and composition and their interplay. Using techniques of abstraction, I weave these elements together in order to produce bold acrylic paintings that reach out and touch the viewer.

With a long history of sketching the human form in motion and an indefatigable interest in blurring the lines between reality and interpretation, I paint abstracted compositions that include at least one representational anchor, be it a horizon line, tulip, full moon, or something else. Shapes and themes repeat, which creates a clear evolution of the role of line and form in my paintings over time.
