Art I Bought in Haiti
I was going to be some serious shades of upset if I didn't buy this (or a similar piece by Dyesel). You can't just go walking down a small city center in Haiti and buy crafts like you can in Mexico. You have to know someone who knows some vendors who will then come to you to sell you their wares.
Of the eight or so vendors that we met with, only one sold paintings with a style that I was drawn to. The rest lacked a signature feel, and were just "nice" at best. But Dyesel's work (sold by his friend)... wow. I hope this piece inspires some of my upcoming paintings.
